The jobholder assists Head, Internal Audit in providing audit assurance and promoting corporate governance and risk management in the Authority. His / her key roles are as follows:

·      Objectively review the organisation’s business processes

·      Evaluate the efficacy of risk management procedures that are currently in place

·      Protect against fraud and theft of the organisation’s assets

·      Ensure that the organisation is complying with relevant laws and statutes

·      Make recommendations on how to improve internal controls and governance processes

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  •  Plan and conduct risk-based auditing in the areas of business and IT general controls according to the annual audit plan.
  • Develop detailed audit programs to appraise effectiveness of business/IT processes and assess compliance with applicable laws,       regulations and procedures.
  • Develop audit reports for submission to Management and Audit Committee and monitor the implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Assist in executing corporate-wide communication plans to promote good internal control practices, corporate governance and risk management.
  •  Assist with administering the Authority’s Whistleblowing program including any investigations as assigned by Director, Internal Audit.
  • Support the division’s continuous improvement initiatives to enhance audit analytical capabilities and quality assurance program.
  • Generate audit scope for outsourced internal audit/IT audit service providers, monitor and manage the outsourced providers’ progress.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external auditors and other control and monitoring functions.
  •  Prepare Audit Committee meeting materials in consultation with Head, Internal Audit.
     


Requirements

·       IIA membership

·       Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited university or college
