Facial Recognition Via Digital HR App, First of Its Kind In Asia, Supports COVID-19 Protection Measures

While the recovery movement control order (RMCO) in Malaysia has enabled most businesses to reopen, many companies are encouraging staff to continue to work from home and help prevent the next wave of COVID-19. How then can management and employees achieve efficient and fair working hours remotely as well as ensuring safe and secure work environments for those returning to the office?


The new Facial Recognition and Authentication feature on the Digital HR Mobile app from MiHCM, the digital HCM solution specialist, means that contactless Time Attendance management is now possible.

The MiHCM Mobile app provides a fully-fledged Time Attendance and HR services system, which now incorporates time tracking features such as facial recognition, geofencing and geo-tagging.

The first of its kind in the South East Asia market, the new facial recognition feature will allow businesses to track employee check-in and check-out through a contactless attendance system to support remote workforces, while helping to maintain COVID-19 prevention measures at the workplace.

The new feature also allows Human Resources Departments to digitally record essential attendance and leave, timesheet, time change, overtime requests submissions and all related approvals in one system.
