Microlink Appoints Head of New Financial Services Business

Microlink Solutions Berhad, a member of technology solutions provider OMESTI, has announced the appointment of Elwin Lim as CEO of its Financial Services Segment, one of the Group’s four newly formed business pillars.
Elwin brings more than 15 years of experience in Project Management, Business Development, System Architecture/ Design and Application Software Development, particularly in enterprise solutions across industries.
Microlink Group CEO Chia Yong Wei said, “The addition of Elwin to our senior management team is a key step in the strategic realignment of our business as we tailor our solutions to the evolving financial services landscape. His breadth of experience and expertise will be invaluable in driving our efforts in becoming the technology provider of choice in core banking and core insurance solutions.”
Elwin’s expertise in the enterprise solutions space includes implementation of complete systems for various industries including banking, insurance, capital markets, manufacturing, travel and hospitality as well as the public sector.
During his career, he has successfully deployed a large number of projects with Fortune 500 companies in Asia Pacific, Europe and the US. These include mission-critical systems for banks, stock exchanges, insurance providers, travel providers, research houses, airlines and entertainment complexes. He also brings hands-on experience in providing clients with Analytics, Big Data, Mobility, Social and Cloud solutions.

Prior to joining Microlink, Elwin was Vice-President, Enterprise Solutions with Fusionex International for almost 10 years. His early career was spent with KPMG Consulting focusing on IT Strategy, IT Implementation and Project Management. He graduated from Monash University, Australia with Bachelor of Computing majoring in Information Systems.
